FAQs
Yes! Both Swn y Mor (Sleeps 6) and Llynfor (Sleeps 10) are dog-friendly accommodation in Rhosneigr. Elsewhere, we have a whole collection of pet-friendly stays in North Wales.
Rhosneigr is situated on Anglesey’s west coast and is fringed by many beautiful beaches. Traeth Rhosneigr is the main stretch of beach directly in front of the houses and shops along the shoreline. This is a paradise for surfers, kite surfers, windsurfers and all watersports – due to the rocky outcrops at both the north and south ends of the beach, smaller stretches of sand on either side of the main beach are separate beaches, known as Traeth Crigyll and Traeth Llydan. All of these beaches are dog-friendly year-round.
If you’re looking for a bit more seclusion, venture slightly further north to Traeth Cymran, or south to Porth Trecastell. There’s also a wood-fired sauna at Porth Tyn Tywyn.
Yes – our large group Rhosneigr holiday cottage Llynfor boasts a beautiful outdoor space with a hot tub. You can enjoy the bubbles at any of our Anglesey cottages thanks to our private hot-tub hire service.
There are lots of things to do in Rhosneigr. It is a haven for watersports, meaning surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, foiling, coasteering and paddleboarding are pretty much available on tap. Other than that you can enjoy the cafes and shops on offer throughout the village, venture out to Plas Newydd or discover the towns of Menai Bridge and Beaumaris.
Food & Drink
With something to suit everyone, from a morning coffee at Cafe Notos to a gourmet meal in The Sandy Mount House. Mojos serves up some of the finest savoury (and sweet) crepes and freshly caught fish. For something a little more casual, Scarlets Fish and Chips is one of the best on Anglesey, but make sure you get there in plenty of time to avoid disappointment. A family favourite is Chaplins Ice Cream, which you’ll visit more than once to try all the flavours. A walk along Broad Beach, and you’ll find The Oyster Catcher nestled amongst the dunes to grab a quick lunch or an evening meal. While there, why not head down to Wills Bar, where live music is regularly played?
Things to Do
Renowned for its water spots and a world famous Kite Boarding and windsurfing location, you can always find an impressive display of talent on the main beach. Fun Sport and Geko offer beginner to advanced lessons in SUP, surfing, and all other water sports. Barclodiad y Gawres burial chamber is a fine example of a neolithic burial chamber in the most stunning location on Cable Bay headland. Sauna Bach is a bespoke wood-fired sauna at Tyn Tywyn Beach, which is perfect for warming yourself up after a cool dip in the sea.
