Bryn Hyfryd

A little bit of countryside, a short drive from the coast. Bryn Hyfryd sits in Pencarnisiog, just inland from Rhosneigr, giving you a quieter base while keeping some of Anglesey's best beaches and coastal spots within easy reach.

Recently modernised throughout, the cottage combines a bright, contemporary interior with some of those features that make a holiday cottage feel like somewhere you actually want to spend time. The open-plan kitchen and dining space has a skylight and doors opening onto the rear garden, while the sitting room has a log burner, corner sofa and beanbags for settling in after a day out. Upstairs are two bedrooms, a double and a bunk room, both looking out across the surrounding countryside.

A relaxed sitting room with a corner sofa, beanbags and a log burner at its heart. There's also a Smart TV for quieter evenings, although the garden and surrounding countryside might provide better entertainment when the weather plays along.

Kitchen/ Dining Room
The brand-new kitchen has everything you need for a self-catering stay, with a dining area for meals together. A skylight brings extra daylight into the room, while sliding glass doors open directly onto the rear garden, making it easy to take things outside when the sun is shining.

Outside

To the rear, Bryn Hyfryd has a private tiered courtyard and garden with outdoor seating. It's a good spot for morning coffee, an evening drink or a bit of alfresco dining after a day at the beach.

Local Area

Bryn Hyfryd is in Pencarnisiog, Ty Croes, on the western side of Anglesey and just a short drive from Rhosneigr. The popular seaside village is a favourite with watersports enthusiasts, with sandy beaches, coastal walks and plenty of places to eat, drink and browse between adventures.

Rhosneigr has a good selection of independent cafés, shops and restaurants, while the beaches are well suited to swimming, surfing, paddleboarding and kitesurfing when conditions allow. It's also a great place simply to grab a coffee and watch everyone else getting considerably wetter than you.

For a quieter coastal wander, head to Aberffraw, where you can walk along the estuary towards the beach and visit the atmospheric ruins of St Cwyfan's Church, sitting offshore on its tiny tidal island.

Newborough Forest, Newborough Beach and Llanddwyn Island are also within easy driving distance, with miles of sandy coastline and woodland walks to explore. Heading south, Rhoscolyn offers another beautiful stretch of coast, with rocky coves, clear waters and the coastal path winding around the headland.

For a change of scenery, the market town of Holyhead is within easy reach, while the wider west coast of Anglesey is dotted with beaches, coves and villages to discover.
