Explore Llangefni

Llangefni is one of Anglesey’s main marketplaces and the second-largest town in the county. As the principal commercial and farming town on the island, it has a livelier buzz than other, more remote spots. It also used to host the largest cattle market on the island. There’s always something happening here, and there are plenty of holiday cottages in Llangefni to choose from!

Food & Drink

Llangefni has plenty of food and drink opportunities, ensuring you’re never far from a tasty meal. From independent coffee shops to traditional pub grub, visitors here are spoiled for choice. A highlight of the Llangefni food scene includes Popty Pizza, a locally-owned Italian restaurant inspired by Neapolitan cuisine.

Things to Do

Llangefni is further inland than other Angelsey spots, but don’t let that put you off. This countryside town has plenty to see and do for all ages. Spend the day admiring art and local culture at the Oriel Mon Museum. Or spend time in nature at the Nant y Pandy (Dingle) Nature Reserve, a spot with diverse woodland and mystical wood carvings. Llangefni also has bicycle rental opportunities, the Rayner Memorial Clock Tower, and plenty of independent shops to browse.

Whether you’re in the mood for a quiet wander or to immerse yourself in arts and history, Llangefni is a must-visit town on Anglesey Island.
