Excellent position for day trips around the peninsula. Nice quiet rural setting within family estate.

The cottage is in a lovely, peaceful location with plenty of beaches and activities nearby. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. Unfortunately, the cleanliness wasn’t up to standard- there was quite a bit of pet hair, which made the stay less comfortable. With better cleaning, this place could be an excellent stay.

What a unique, beautiful gem, tucked away in the nature. Part of an estate with hundreds of acres of land, seven lakes and peace and quiet. The cottage itself is cozy and welcoming. Very clean. The first time getting in can feel like "whoa where am I" as you go down country lanes and narrow drives. And you're rewarded when the manor rises out from behind the bird topiary. We met the owner briefly, got to know the gardener (what a dedication to the property!) and fully appreciated the ability to just go roaming the nature with our dogs from our front door. Pretty obviously you need a car to get out here. While there's not really any shops within walking distance, they're just a few minutes down the road. And Pwhelli town is easy striking distance for most everything else you'd need. Washer/dryer combo worked great, as did the dishwasher. Recommend!

A wonderful stay in a beautiful cottage! Everything was just as described, clean, comfortable, and full of charm. We felt right at home and really enjoyed the peaceful setting. Would happily return!

An absolute find! Private garden space with easy access to extensive attached grounds which include a lake and topiary! Wonderfully comfortable beds and furnishings a mix of old and new, with an eye to the past and in keeping with the House and comfort of guests. Definitely hope to stay here, or at any of the other properties on this estate, again. A great base for the surrounding attractions of seaside and moutain alike. Very close to both supermarket and garage too for those unexpected moments. Wonderful and special.....almost don't want to rave but that would be rude!

The Local Area

At the heart of the Llyn Peninsula, Rose Cottage guests are in a great location for touring all the villages and coves of this beautiful part of North Wales. The nearby Glasfryn Parc offers a great range of activities for all the family, including go-karting, archery and wakeboarding. And the pretty seaside village of Nefyn is a short drive away, with its famous Ty Coch Inn on the beach and its recently reopened Llyn Maritime Museum which tells the story of the peninsula’s often stormy relationship with the sea.. The National Trust’s beach at Whistling Sands and a boat trip around Bardsey Island are well worth a day trip, and Snowdonia is within easy reach.
