Trearddur Bay is a village and seaside resort with a selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and beautiful coastal walks. Just outside of the village towards Holyhead, you’ll also find a large retail park with handy shops including a large Tesco Supermarket – perfect for stocking up before heading to your Trearddur Bay accommodation!

Is Trearddur Bay beach dog-friendly?

Yes! Dogs are permitted on part of the beach all year. There are restrictions on the eastern end of the beach, in front of the car park from 1st May to 30th September. If you want your own private paradise for you and your four-legged friend, check out Rockside.

For a more gentle activity, why not have a guided sea kayaking tour or try your hand at Stand-up Paddle Boarding? Just around the corner from the main town, you’ll find South Stack lighthouse. Built on a small island off the North West coast of Holyhead, it is often featured as one of the most iconic lighthouses on Anglesey, helping to guide the Irish ferries into Holyhead. With 400 steps down to the lighthouse, you’ll be ready for a drink at the RSPC visitor centre back at the top.
