Din Lligwy

Anglesey

Immerse yourself in the past by visiting Din Lligwy, a ruined ancient village site dating back thousands of years, back to the Roman Empire and maybe even earlier. See two round huts and seven rectangular buildings, and let your imagination carry you away to picture the lives of those who lived there. Discoveries of coins, pottery and glass excavated in the early 1900s date the settlement to the late Roman period in the 3rd and 4th centuries, though traces of structures outside the enclosure suggest the site may have been in use since the Iron Age. Set in a beautiful wooded location with sea views just up the hill, this is a wonderful place to visit to explore more of Anglesey.
