Inside, the lodge has a cosy studio layout. An open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area also accommodates a comfortable double bed, while the bathroom at the end of the lodge is home to a spa bath with an overhead shower. Outside, a private decked terrace features furniture and a hot tub beneath the trees for a truly tranquil break.
Living Area
With a studio layout, Robin Woodside lodge has an open plan kitchen, living and bedroom space. At the bedroom end, a comfortable double bed sits beside charming rounded double doors and a small private balcony. There is a TV and sofa, along with a dining table for two.
The kitchen space boasts everything you need for a short break including an oven, hob, kettle, toaster and microwave with a spacious full-height fridge-freezer.
Bathroom
A spacious bathroom at the end of the lodge features a loo, basin, and spa bath with relaxing jets - just what the muscles need after a day’s walking in the Welsh hills.
Outside, a wooden deck terrace is equipped with dining furniture, seating and a private hot tub. We suggest heading out for an evening soak to watch the stars come out - the entire area is known as an excellent stargazing site.

It’s also situated just a short distance from the A55, which provides easy and quick access to the Roman city of Chester and the entire North Wales coastline.
For those seeking a change from tranquil lake views and peaceful nature, historic Mold and Denbigh are a short drive away, where Mold’s twice-weekly market (Wednesdays & Saturdays) and the vibrant Theatr Clwyd provide wonderful days out.
Outdoor enthusiasts can venture onto nearby trails across Moel Arthur or explore parts of the Offa’s Dyke Path, while the sandy expanse of Talacre Beach with its iconic lighthouse and sweeping dunes is perfect for coastal walks.
For longer days out discovering what North Wales has to offer, Llangollen and Betws-y-Coed are both easily accessible, promising charming shops, rich history, and scenic vistas in every direction.
