Cherry Cottage

Indoors, three spacious bedrooms accommodate up to six, while a rear garden and small patio allow you to enjoy time outside.

On the ground floor, the heart of the home is a large open-plan living area comprising a kitchen and sitting room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you’ll need during your stay, including a dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, American-style fridge freezer, and a large farmhouse dining table. Through the kitchen, you’ll find a cosy seating area.

Snug

A cosy snug serves as a second sitting area, with various board games, comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and beautiful original features.

Utility Room

Convenient for longer stays, a utility room houses a sink, washing machine and dryer.

Cloak Room

A ground-floor cloak room adds an extra element of convenience and space to your stay.

First Floor

Bedroom 1

Upstairs, bedroom one is a welcoming and comfortable option with a king bed and a cosy armchair.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom two is equipped with a double bed, a convenient clothes storage rail, and dual-aspect windows which will allow you to admire the countryside views.

Bedroom 3

A third, more compact double bedroom offers welcoming decor and furniture, including a chest of drawers and storage cupboard, allowing you to unpack and unwind.

A spacious family bathroom features a bath, separate shower, WC and basin.

A separate WC provides a loo and basin.

Designed to accommodate up to six people, Cherry Cottage features a large parking area for up to three big cars. Guests can enjoy a large communal south-facing lawn at the front, and a private garden with patio at the rear.

The Local Area

Marchwiel Hall Estate is situated just two miles south of Wrexham city centre and seven miles from the English border. It is the perfect base for discovering both the wilds of northwest Wales and the chocolate-box villages of Cheshire.

From your doorstep, Erddig Hall is a must-visit. Surrounded by beautiful parkland perfect for dog walks, Erddig Hall is a striking National Trust property with beautiful gardens, a cafe, and breathtaking interiors that offer an insight into life during the eighteenth century. Llangollen is also just 23 minutes away by car and is home to majestic sites such as the Valle Crucis Abbey and Thomas Telford’s Pontcysyllte Aqueduct. If you’re more about doing than seeing, you can also enjoy taking to the River Dee for white water rafting, canoeing, tubing and other aqua-based adventures.

For food and drink in the local area, it doesn’t get much better than the quaint character and elevated pub grub on offer at The Boat Inn, Erbistock (13 minutes away.) Hickory’s Smokehouse (7 minutes away) is your best bet for a family-friendly environment, while the Dog & Pickle (21 minutes away) and the Pant-yr-Ochain (17 minutes away) are the ultimate choice for a hearty Sunday roast.
