A cosy countryside hideaway for two, Bolesworth Bothy is a beautifully styled retreat in the charming village of Higher Burwardsley just outside Tattenhall. The Bothy is part of the Bolesworth Estate cottage collection and is perfectly placed for walking the Sandstone Trail, this dog-friendly escape comes complete with a hot tub and peaceful rural views.

I had the most amazing stay at this beautiful cottage! Communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. The place was absolutely stunning spotless, super comfortable, and had everything you could possibly need, from a straightener and hairdryer to lovely White Company toiletries. You can tell the host has thought of every little detail to make it feel like a perfect home-from-home stay. There’s a cute coffee shop just a short walk away which was a lovely find, and a few pubs and restaurants a little further on. It’s also really easy to get into Chester from here. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet, the bed was so comfy, and the hot tub was perfect. I couldn’t recommend this place enough ,I’ll definitely be back!

We spent three nights at Bolesworth Bothy for our wedding anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The photos truly don’t do it justice — this little haven in the heart of the Cheshire countryside is pure magic. We’ve stayed in many Airbnbs, and this is without a doubt one of the very best. We arrived to a beautiful, generous hamper, and the cottage was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The log burner added such a romantic touch to the bedroom area and kept us wonderfully warm all evening. Thank you for such a special stay — we can’t wait to return!

An absolute gem in the heart of the countryside. The location is perfect — surrounded by stunning walks and just a short stroll from the wonderful Pheasant Inn. The cottage itself is immaculate, from the soft, luxurious bedding and fluffy towels to the well-equipped kitchen where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The welcome hamper, complete with fresh bread and eggs, was such a lovely touch, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the wood-burning stove after a day outdoors. It truly felt like everything had been designed to make our stay effortless and special. The bed and bedding were honestly among the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced. We couldn’t fault a single thing — and we’ll definitely be back!

The property was absolutely stunning with incredible views! The welcome basket was such a lovely surprise — it made the stay feel extra special from the moment I arrived. A beautiful hot tub and a really cost cottage. I hope to be back very soon!
