Porth Dafarch is a sheltered sandy cove on the western side of Holy Island, just outside Holyhead. Framed by low cliffs and rocky headlands, the beach has beautiful views towards the Llŷn Peninsula and Eryri. Its sheltered character makes it a lovely choice for swimming, paddling and exploring the rock pools, while the Wales Coast Path provides a scenic way to arrive on foot.

Porth Dafarch has limited parking close to the beach, so arriving early during busy periods is advisable. Public toilets are available seasonally, from mid-March to the end of September. Dogs are subject to seasonal restrictions between 1 May and 30 September. The beach is accessible from the road and makes a convenient stop on a coastal walk around Holy Island.
