Bywyd Gwyllt Glaslyn Wildlife
Glaslyn Wildlife is a wonderful day out for anyone who loves nature and wants to experience some of North Wales’ most fascinating wildlife. Set in the beautiful Glaslyn Valley, the reserve is best known for its ospreys, which return to the area each year to nest and raise their young. A pair of ospreys has been breeding in the Glaslyn Valley since 2004. The RSPB ran the first viewing centre at Pont Croesor from 2005 until a group of local wildlife enthusiasts took over the management of the project in 2013. The first breeding ospreys in Wales for hundreds of years were attracting thousands of visitors and captured the interest of the local community.Visitors can enjoy the peaceful surroundings, learn more about these remarkable birds and discover the important conservation work taking place to protect them. With stunning mountain scenery, abundant wildlife and the opportunity to see these magnificent birds in their natural environment, Glaslyn Wildlife is a memorable and rewarding addition to any North Wales adventure.
