Borth-y-Gest Beach

Llyn Peninsula

Borth-y-Gest is a picturesque collection of sheltered sandy coves just south-west of Porthmadog, backed by a charming coastal village of pastel-coloured cottages. At low tide, the beaches open up towards the Glaslyn Estuary, with wonderful views across the water towards the mountains of Eryri. Quieter and more secluded than nearby Black Rock Sands, it’s a lovely choice for a peaceful North Wales beach walk.
