Tucked away on the edge of Caernarfon, Y Berllan is a most attractive period cottage with great character and atmosphere. It’s just a stone’s throw from the Menai Strait and next door to Caernarfon golf course. A great holiday base away from the bustle yet conveniently located for Caernarfon Castle and Town, Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula.

Surrounded by tall trees and tranquil countryside, Y Berllan is a welcoming traditional cottage perfectly suited to families or groups of friends looking for a well-positioned base from which to explore all corners of North Wales. Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula are both just a short drive away. There are lovely walks along the Aber foreshore, with views across to Anglesey, and excellent bird watching.
A charming double-height room with exposed beams and a fine wood floor. The cosy seating area is nestled under a mezzanine with a wood-burning stove in the middle. In the centre of the room is a large dining table with ample space for all guests.
Kitchen
With lovely garden views from the large arched window, the fully equipped shaker-style kitchen has a well-positioned breakfast table in the bay window and all necessary modern conveniences including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Family Bathroom
A large walk-in shower room, with WC and sink.
The mezzanine features comfortable low-lying sofas. Please note that the stairs up to it are steep and care must be taken.

A twin bedroom, which is also the access room to Bedroom 3

A kingsize bed. Access to the third bedroom is through the twin bedroom.

There is ample parking for 2-3 cars on the hard standing at the front of the cottage. With picnic benches and a BBQ, there is scope for alfresco dining on warm summer evenings. There is also a large garden.The Local Area
Y Berllan is a 10-minute walk from the centre of Caernarfon, with its mighty castle reached by footbridge. Caernarfon is full of interesting shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. The cottage is next door to Caernarfon Golf club, so perfect for golfers. It’s just a short drive to Snowdonia or, just down the coast is Nant Gwrtheyrn and all the sights of the scenic Llyn Peninsula.Facilities

- The house is located on a smallholding and the owner does require access to the sheds at the far end of the garden from time to time.
- The stairs to the mezzanine are open and steep, care should be taken.
- No towels are provided.
