View Floorplan
With views over the beach at the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Moelfre, Glan y Don (literally, “beside the waves”) is a quaint and cheerful cottage enjoying sea and mountain scenery from nearly all its windows. The cottage is perfect for a beachfront holiday in this attractive corner of Anglesey.
House
Formerly the village shop, Glan y Don has been carefully converted into a cosy 3-bedroom cottage filled with plenty of character. Located on the seafront of Moelfre, one of Anglesey’s prettiest villages. It is filled with light and makes the most of the sea and mountain views.
Kitchen diner
A modern fitted kitchen with an electric oven and hob, full-height fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The oak dining table has ample space for all guests.
Sitting Room
In the main sitting room the double-height vaulted ceiling allows light to pour into the cottage.
At one end is a large fireplace with a log burner which is surrounded by comfortable sofas and armchairs. There is a split stable door that opens onto the seafront. There is also a staircase leading up to a mezzanine reading area and the third bedroom..
Bedroom 1
A large king size sleigh bed with sea views from both windows.
Bedroom 2
A twin room with sea views
Family Bathroom
A bath with shower over, sink and WC.
WC
Tucked under the staircase is a compact WC.
Reading Area
A small seating area on the mezzanine level overlooking the living room.
Bedroom 3
A small double room with a velux window. To allow in more light, a bannister has been put in place meaning the room is open to the corridor but still very private.
A path at the rear of the house leads up to a small raised seating area with views over the top of the house to the sea and mountains beyond. There is parking for one small car, with additional parking in the public car park just across the road.
A stone's throw from The Kinmel Arms gastropub, Ann’s Pantry restaurant/cafe and an ice cream parlour, dining out is a doddle when staying at Glan y Don. The cottage is just yards from the Anglesey coastal footpath, so bracing winter walks or summertime strolls are a must to enjoy this lovely stretch of Anglesey’s east coast. A short drive from the house is the sandy beach at Lligwy, with its famous beachfront cafe. A little further afield is the historic town of Beaumaris with its mighty castle, boutique shops and wide array of cafes and restaurants
