The Laburnum Arch at Bodnant Garden, Conwy
16th May – 7th June
North Wales’ iconic 55-metre-long laburnum arch is the oldest and longest in the UK, often described as a waterfall of gold. It is a bucket-list sight to see for anyone visiting the area, as is the remainder of the beautiful Bodnant Garden, with 80 acres of formal gardens and a tea room to enjoy.

The Summer Solstice
21st June 2026
Marking the astronomical first day of summer, the summer solstice is a widely celebrated day throughout North Wales. It is especially acknowledged on Anglesey, where people gather to watch the sunrise at the various prehistoric sites, including Bryn Celli Ddu, as it’s the only time of year that the sun shines directly into the passageway within the chamber.

North Wales Vegan Market, Conwy
27th June 2026
Hosted in Llandudno’s St Paul’s Church Hall, the North Wales Vegan Market will run from 10 am to 3 pm and is set to be brimming with vegan delights, both of the edible and gifting variety. Stallholders include Taylor’s Artisan Pies, Pip & Oat Cafe and Happy Mouse.

Aberdaron Poetry & Arts Festival
18th – 21st June 2026
An annual celebration of poetry and faith specific to the glorious Llyn Peninsula, the Aberdaron Poetry & Arts Festival will centre around poet R S Thomas’ 1976 lecture to the National Eisteddfod, ‘Where is Abercuawg?’ exploring the themes of paradise, utopia and what exactly an ideal Wales looks like in 2026.
